I donot want to go deep into the history of it since many of us are not aware of the major differences I want to make aware of differences between this two astrology
1. Sun signs are very important in Western astrology but in Vedic astrology the moon sign is given importance why is it that way hold on will tell you in my next post
2. The planets Uranus,Neptune and Pluto have been taken in to account in western astrology but these are excluded in Vedic astrology why? Because these planets have little impact on individual level these planets effect whole generation Example: A person born in 2000 let us consider he has Pluto in Capricorn then a person was born in 2004 will be having the same combination so taking account these planets for prediction will not be of much use
3.The Rahu and Ketu are called shadow planets are given much importance in Vedic astrology
4.There are divisional charts in Vedic astrology each divisional chart deals with particular part of your life which is not present in western astrology
The Vedic astrology holds lot in depth to determine your future compared to western astrology
